Obedience

Sometimes Oswald Chambers hits the nail right on the head. We're planning on going overseas in about two years time. This will upset certain people because they won't understand why or how we can leave them (and possibly take our children with us if we have any by then). This is what Oswald says;

"If we obey God, it is going to cost other people more than it costs us, and that is where the pain begins. If we are in love with our Lord, obedience does not cost us anything—it is a delight. But to those who do not love Him, our obedience does cost a great deal. If we obey God, it will mean that other people’s plans are upset. " Oswald Chambers

I've seen a few posts around the blogosphere about My Utmost for His Highest. I must find my copy and start reading through it again. (I bought it for $1 at a second hand book sale at UWA)
