She got It!
It was inevitable and I was waiting for it to happen, yes, Keziah got my cold! It's the very first time she's been sick so last night she woke up every hour due to a sore throat and I ended up going to bed at 6am. Oh well. I'm not worried as it will help build her immunity but it's just another lesson for me in what to do and I've become well acquainted with the chemist down here in Dunsborough!
We got this vapouriser thing that you plug into the wall. Cost $10 and has 5 sachets of the eucalyptus oil and something else that helps her breathe. Each sachet lasts 8 hrs so that's a well spent $10 I think. Anyway, all these things to learn when you're new parents!
Been an interesting 'break' really, first Kez decided to teeth and one of her front top teeth cut through, then I had 2 days break where she slept really well before the second top tooth cut through. Then I got sick, then she's gotten sick and we leave in a few days!! I suppose you never really do get a break when your a Mum do you!

Hope you are all feeling better and had a great night's sleep last night. I remember those evening vigils when kids were sick. Unfortunately it still happens!!!!
Here is a cheap but very helpful trick that I know from experience works: cut an onion in half and set in on a night-stand or close to the bed. The fumes of the onion open up the nose and make it much easier to breath. No, it doesn't smell good but hey, you can't smell anyway with a cold haha.

thanks all for your comments. We're slowly getting better although Michael seems to be getting the cold now! Kitty, yes, being a Mum is the hardest job I've ever had!
