Illustration Friday - 'Chair'

I'm not sure if this fits into the category of an 'illustration' or not but it's the first thing that came to mind when I read this weeks category. I painted this chair quite a few years ago and I've never known what to do with it in our house. Now it sits perfectly in Kezi's room! All illustrations are original, done in acrylic paint. You can see where my dog used to jump up on it. I've considered fixing that but I've decided to leave it as it gives the chair a history and character. Oh, and this chair already had history, it came from my Nanna's house!

Photo Friday - 'Disguise'

This weeks topic is 'disguise' so here's my Mum (Charlie Chapman), my brother (a redheads matchbox) and myself (the clown!) in fancy dress. I think I"m about 10 here. My Dad is a graphic artist so he made the matchbox for my brother. Our last name being 'Burns' he put 'our light Burns for Jesus' on the reverse. Mum made my outfit and she's wearing a garden pot on her head as a hat! Needless to say, my brother and I both won our age groups for the fancy dress. Oh and Dad, he went as one of the 7 dwarfs! LOL
