The Paralympics

The Paralympics is on at the moment in Torino and I only discovered this by accident when I was flicking with the TV remote on Sunday afternoon (ABC 6 - 6.30pm daily). It kinda annoys me that the commercial stations don't show the Paralympics the same way they do the 'other' Olympics, I mean these Paralympians are amazing people and deserve the same attention our other Olympians get. Australia has 10 competing this time round which is amazing and it seems that most are amputees. I am always inspired by these wonderful people who have overcome huge obstacles to get where they are.
